Notarised Translation Service UK
Notarised translations in the UK are often requested by governmental and legal bodies, such Home Office, HM Inland Revenue, Embassies, NARIC, Courts, Police, Solicitors, Insurance Companies, Registry Offices etc. Notarised translation service by a UK Public Notary is more formal translation than a certified document translation.

For the purpose of notarising a translation original documents are most often required by the formal bodies. Therefore, you should always check with the organisation requesting the Notary translation.

What types of documents need a notarised translation service?
Notarised translation service by a UK Public Notary is normally required for most documents that will be used for official purposes. This includes:
  • Academic Degree translation
  • Adoption Documents translation
  • Affidavit translation
  • Birth Certificate translation
  • Certificate of No Impediment (for marriage)
  • Contract translation
  • Criminal Records translation (CRB)

  • Transcript translation
  • Translation of Child care or adoption documents issued in the UK
  • Translation of Company Registration documents
  • Translation of Medical Records, Statement, Reports
  • UK issued Apostille translation
  • University Degree translation
  • Visa translation
  • Will translation
The process of notarising a translation involves the following steps:
1;
You post us the document(s) for translation that also need a Notary service. We recommend posting them by special delivery (approx. cost GBP 7.00) under signature to ensure they are delivered to us the next working day promptly and safely. Alternatively, you are welcome to come to our offices and deliver the documents in person.
2;
The translator(s) of the document(s) or a representative from our company Reflective Source Translations Ltd. meets with a Public Notary commissioned to provide Notary services in the UK and Wales in his (her) office.
3;
Both of them declare on oath, in writing by signing a Statutory Declaration that the translation is true, correct and to the best of our knowledge.
4;
The UK Public Notary then puts his (her) embossed stamp on translated document(s) and Statutory Declaration.
5;
We post the notarised translation by Special Delivery to your provided address or you can collect it in our offices.
Notarised translation service price: Just £79 + VAT@20% for one document or one set of documents. This is for notarisation of the document(s) only and does not include translation costs. We provide reliable notarised translation delivered to you on time. If you have any further questions or would like to get a notarised translation price please contact us by email sales@reflectivesource.com or by phone 02920 710677 (UK) or +442920 710677 (international).
Notarised Translation Service with an Apostille
If you need to use a translated document abroad for official purposes, most often the local authorities require a notarised translation with an Apostille issued by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The types of documents that need the highest level of certification (Notarised translation and an Apostille) include the following:
  • Academic Degree translation
  • Adoption Document translation
  • Affidavit translation
  • Birth Certificate translation
  • Contract Translation
  • Criminal Records translation (CRB)
  • Death Certificate translation
  • Diploma Translation
  • Divorce Certificate translation
  • Divorce Decree translation, translation of Judgement and other documents issued by a UK Court
  • Driver’s Licence translation
  • High School / Secondary School Diploma translation
  • Immigration Document translation
  • Immunization Records translation
  • Marriage Certificate translation
  • Marriage Licence translation
  • Naturalization Papers translation
  • Passport translation
  • Police Clearance Certificate translation
  • Power of Attorney translation
  • Transcript translation
  • Translation of Child Care or Adoption documents issued in the UK
  • Translation of Company Registration documents
  • Translation of Medical Records, Statement, Reports
  • UK issued Apostille translation
  • University Degree translation
  • Visa translation
  • Will translation
The process of Notary translation and then legalization by an Apostille involves the following steps:
1;
You post us the document(s) for translation that also need notarisation service and an Apostille. We recommend posting them by special delivery (approx. cost GBP 7.00) under signature to ensure they are delivered to us the next working day promptly and safely. Alternatively, you are welcome to come to our office and deliver the documents in person.
2;
We carry out the translation of your documents and proofreading by the second qualified translator
3;
The translator(s) of the document(s) or a representative from our company Reflective Source Translations Ltd. meets with a Public Notary commissioned to provide Notary services in the UK and Wales in his (her) office.
4;
Both of them declare on oath, in writing by signing a Statutory Declaration that the translation is true, correct and to the best of our knowledge. We normally provide you with a Notary’s Certificate (Statutory Declaration) in two languages: the original language of the document and the language it is translated into or the official language of the country you are going to use the document. This is extremely beneficial because you will be using the translated and notarised documents in a foreign country.
5;
The Notary then puts his (her) embossed stamp on translated document(s) and Statutory Declaration.
6;
We post the notarised translation by Special Delivery to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on the same day. The official acting on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office completes a final document which confirms that the Notary signing the notarisation had the authority in which to do so. Usually it is an Apostille affixed on the other side of Statutory Declaration signed by the Notary. This final document acts as proof that all legal steps have been completed and that the authenticity of the document should not be contested.
7;
The Notarised translation with an Apostille is returned to us by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by Special Delivery.
8;
We post the notarised translation with Apostille by Special Delivery to your provided address or you can collect it in our offices.

Usually the process of translation notarisation and then legalization by an Apostille in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office takes 4-7 working days (excluding the time for translation).

Costs
Costs of notarised translation service with an Apostille: Just £134.00 + VAT@20% (excluding the fees for all necessary special deliveries to/from the Commonwealth Office and back to you) for one document or one set of documents. This price is for notarisation of the document(s) and an Apostille only and does not include translation costs.
Additional documents
If you require Notary translation service with an Apostille for more than one set of documents, please contact us for a prompt and competitive quote. We provide reliable notarised translation service with an Apostille delivered to you on time. If you have any further questions or would like to order a notarised translation service with an Apostille please contact us by email sales@reflectivesource.com or by phone 02920 710677 (UK) or +442920 710677 (international).
Legalisation of Documents / Apostille
Legalisation

If you need to use a UK public document in a foreign country, most often the local authorities require it to be legalised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office before they will accept it. Legalisation of documents is the process when the Foreign and Commonwealth Office attaches an Apostille (certificate) to a UK issued public document.

Confirmation
Legalization is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a UK public document is genuine. It does not authenticate the content of the document. Legalized documents are normally required by various authorities abroad before they will allow a UK issued document to be used for official purposes in their country. Examples of documents that might require legalization service / Apostille include the ones supporting adoption or marriage abroad, overseas visa, job application, purchase of a property abroad and companies carrying out business abroad.
A few examples of legalized documents with an Apostille – the service we provide regularly:
  • Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of No Impediment (for marriage)
  • Child Care or Adoption documents issued in the UK
  • Company Registration documents
  • Death Certificate
  • Divorce Certificate
  • Divorce Decree, Judgements and other documents issued by a UK Court
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Notarised translations of documents bearing Solicitor or UK Notary Public signature and seals (signed and stamped Statutory Declaration as described above)
  • Power of Attorney
